Valentine’s Day is just a day away. If you still don’t have plans for you and your partner, you might want to make some…real soon!
While doing something for Valentine’s isn’t a requirement, most experts agree that it’s healthy for a relationship. It’s the perfect time to show your significant other that you care about them and enjoy spending time together. Plus, it’s fun!
With all that’s gone on in the past few years with the pandemic and one Covid-related illness after another, many people still aren’t comfortable with going out to crowded places. And, if you are entertaining the idea of having a romantic meal and haven’t made reservations yet, chances are you’ve missed the boat because all your favorite restaurants are probably booked up by now.
Not to worry though. Here are some fabulous ideas to help you and the love of your life celebrate the day from sun-up to sun-down.
Romantic Breakfast – Start the day off with a smile with a romantic breakfast. It can certainly be a breakfast in bed, but it doesn’t have to be, especially since Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday this year. You can wake up early, whip up a quick breakfast, and spice it up by decorating your tray/table with a vase of flowers from the local store down the street. Don’t forget some candies or chocolate covered strawberries!
Work Lunch Surprise – What better way to say “I love you” than to show up at your partner’s job with his or her favorite lunch? If the weather’s right, you can even pack a picnic and a bottle of wine (better make it mock wine if you’re on the clock). Here’s a winning twist to the lunch date – bring along their favorite board game and enjoy lunch and games together.
Take in Some Take-Out – Maybe neither of you want to cook on Valentine’s Day. If not, you can take a break and order out. You can even order your favorite dishes from several spots to make it truly customized. Decorate the dining table with flowers, a candle or two, and put on some romantic tunes. If the weather allows, dinner on the patio is nice too.
Dance the Night Away – Put together a playlist of song the two of you love. Clear the living room out and dance the night away. Don’t forget to add in some special songs that remind you of why you are together.
Pamper – Create a home spa where you can pamper your special someone after dinner and dancing. Turn your bedroom into a romantic spa complete with candles, flowers, and music to set a romantic mood. From soothing essential oils and rose petals in the bathtub to scented massage oil, the sky is the limit to where the night can go.
Valentine’s Day is the ideal time to get creative. Keep in mind it’s not the money you spend but rather the time you spend together. From morning to evening, show your love to the one you love and your day will be practically perfect no matter what the two of you do.
